Michigan Plan Rates Increase in 2017
Several Michigan health insurance companies have requested a rate increase for health insurance plans in 2017. As long each carrier can accompany their request with evidence that medical services justify the increase, it is very likely that the rates will be approved. The rate increase will be offset by subsidies for many Michigan residents, but for those that don’t qualify, the increase can be anywhere from 3% to 31%.
